Lemon Autos

If we don't collect we don't get paid.

Lemon Auto Attorney fees are entirely or largely paid by manufacturers.  There is about 15 hours of work to most cases and our rate is at 150 per hour.  This is a little over 2000 dollars in work for each case that is filed in court even if it settles in 30-180 days.  If you are in Kentucky we may file a lawsuit and ask you to pay for the filing fee which is about 150 to 175 especially if the case is with Ford or a foreign manufacturer.

We work on a contingency fee basis and if we settle the case within the first 6 months we will normally be paid 1500 from the manufacturer.  We normally settle cases within 90 days.  If we settle we may get a newer car as an upgrade, a refund or a cash lump sum settlement.  If we get a lump sum settlement our recovery will be 1/3.  If we get an upgrade or complete refund  our 2000 dollar fee will be deducted from that refund.  Manufacturers normally only pay a 1500 fee which may leave a small part due from your refund for Kentucky clients.

Bankruptcy

Chapter 13 attorney fees are set by the Court and are the same no matter which attorney you use.  As you pay the Court the Court pays your attorney fees.  Attorney fees in a 13 are paid before creditors are paid.  The Kentucky Courts normally grant a 2600 dollar attorney fee but this is due to increase.  Indiana Courts normally grant over a 3000 dollar attorney fee.  The filing fees are presently about 300.

When we called other offices in November 2005 Chapter 7 fees were running from about 1000 to 1500 in the Louisville Area.   They were  about 1500-2000 in Eastern rural Kentucky.  Our attorney fee for an uncontested Chapter 7 in 2006 is 1000 for a single and 1200 for a couple.  Filing fees are 300.

Divorce

Filing fees are about 130 but it varies from county to county by up to 20 dollars.  Uncontested Divorces run about 500.  Our hourly rate for a contested divorce is 150 per hour and 200 per hour in Court.
